Brightwell Aquatics Calcion is a precision-formulated ionic calcium supplement designed to restore and maintain calcium levels in reef aquariums. Calcium is a vital component of aragonite, the mineral that forms the skeletons of corals, clams, tube worms, and other reef-building invertebrates. Maintaining calcium between 412–450 ppm allows for optimal coral growth and health, assuming other conditions such as alkalinity, magnesium, and lighting are within ideal ranges. Calcion is significantly stronger than most competing brands and contains no unwanted additives such as EDTA, gluconate, or polygluconate—ensuring a clean, reliable dose every time.

Directions

 Basic Use:
Shake well. Add 5 ml per 50 gallons every other day to maintain 412–450 ppm calcium.

 Advanced Use:

1. Test calcium levels before dosing.
   
   
2. Shake well before each use.
   
   
3. 1 ml raises calcium by 40 ppm per 1 gallon.
   
   
4. If calcium is low, dose up to 10 ml per 20 gallons daily.
   
   
5. After reaching desired level, measure daily drop in calcium.
   
   
6. Divide calcium drop by 40, then multiply by system volume for daily dose in ml.
   
7. Daily dosing gives more stable calcium levels than weekly dosing.
   
   
8. Always maintain calcium within +/-10 ppm for best results.
