Description 

Brightwell Aquatics ChaetoGro is a precision-formulated supplement that delivers 13 essential nutrients to support the growth and health of Chaetomorpha algae and other macroalgae used in nutrient export systems. Unlike fertilizers that may contribute excess nutrients, ChaetoGro is free of phosphate and nitrate and is designed for use in ultra-low nutrient systems (ULNS). It provides vital elements like potassium, iron, magnesium, boron, sulfur, and zinc—each critical to photosynthesis, protein synthesis, and algae metabolism.

Ideal for refugiums and planted marine systems, this formula promotes Chaetomorpha growth, which naturally removes unwanted nutrients like nitrate and phosphate. It’s perfect for reef aquarists looking to maintain water clarity, stability, and healthy biological filtration. When paired with carbon dosing (like Reef BioFuel or Katalyst) and bacterial support (such as MicroBacter7), ChaetoGro can improve system balance, reduce nutrient spikes, and help create a thriving reef ecosystem.

Directions 

Basic Use:

1. Shake well before use.

2. For first 2 weeks, add 5 ml per 20 gallons twice weekly.

3. After 2 weeks, increase as needed based on Chaeto growth.

Advanced Use (Daily):

1. Add 6 drops per 20 gallons daily.

2. Adjust based on Chaeto color, density, and nutrient uptake.

3. For ideal Chaeto growth, maintain at least 0.01 ppm phosphate and 3–5 ppm nitrate.

4. If levels are too low, supplement with NeoPhos or NeoNitro as directed.
