Brightwell Aquatics Magnesion is a highly-concentrated ionic magnesium solution formulated to raise and stabilize magnesium levels in reef aquariums. Magnesium plays a vital role in maintaining balanced calcium and carbonate concentrations by preventing them from binding too quickly. Without proper magnesium levels, calcium and alkalinity can drop unexpectedly, causing poor coral growth and water chemistry instability. Magnesion helps restore the ideal range of 1,290–1,320 ppm, supporting aragonite formation—the mineral corals and clams use to build their skeletons.

This supplement contains no organics like EDTA or gluconate and is over 50% stronger than many competing products. Whether you're establishing a new system or adjusting an existing one, Magnesion allows hobbyists to customize dosing based on aquarium demand. Directions

   Basic Use:

1. Shake well before use.

2. Add 5 ml per 20 gallons every other day.

3. Maintain magnesium between 1,290–1,320 ppm.

4. 250 ml treats up to 1,000 gallons.

Advanced Use:

1. Test magnesium before dosing.

2. Each ml raises 1 gallon by ~26 ppm.

3. If magnesium is below 1,288 ppm, dose up to 10 ml per 20 gallons daily.

4. Continue daily or weekly as needed.

5. To calculate daily dose:

     ● Measure daily magnesium drop (ppm).

     ● Divide by 26.

     ●Multiply by system gallons = ml needed.

6. Daily dosing gives better stability than weekly dosing.
