Brightwell Aquatics NeoNitro is a precision-formulated nitrate supplement designed to restore and maintain balanced nutrient ratios in ultra-low-nutrient reef aquariums. In many advanced systems, aggressive nutrient control can strip water of essential nitrogen, halting microbial activity and slowing phosphate removal. NeoNitro provides a clean, targeted nitrate source to fuel natural biological processes without introducing pollutants.
When used alongside Brightwell’s MicroBacter7 and a carbon source like Reef BioFuel or Katalyst, it enables natural phosphate uptake and supports bacterioplankton development—providing corals with a rich food source. This nutrient balancing approach improves coral coloration, polyp extension, and overall reef vitality while helping to prevent issues such as coral bleaching and tissue recession.
Unlike methods that rely on adding excess organics or chemical media, NeoNitro delivers precise nutrient control in a controlled, efficient manner. For best results, monitor nitrate and phosphate levels regularly and dose according to system needs.
1. Shake bottle well before use.
2. Test phosphate and nitrate levels using accurate tools.
3. If nitrate is undetectable, dose NeoNitro to raise to ~3 ppm.
4. Wait 24 hours, re-test nitrate and phosphate levels.
5. If no change, dose Reef BioFuel at 1 ml per 25 gallons.
6. Continue daily Reef BioFuel dosing until nutrients decrease.
7. Maintain nitrate at 3–5 ppm during phosphate reduction.
8. Once phosphate reaches target range (0.01–0.02 ppm), adjust NeoNitro dosing as needed.
9. If nitrate rises without phosphate drop, resume carbon dosing.
10. Always monitor and adjust based on test results.
