Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos is designed specifically for ultra-low-nutrient reef aquariums where nitrate levels are present but phosphate is nearly undetectable. In systems where nutrients are unbalanced, natural biological uptake stalls, which can negatively impact water quality and coral health. NeoPhos restores balance by providing a bioavailable phosphorus source that supports natural nutrient cycling and the growth of beneficial planktonic organisms. These organisms convert waste into biomass, which is then exported through skimming or consumed by corals and invertebrates.
NeoPhos is best used alongside MicroBacter7 and Reef BioFuel or Katalyst to help drive consistent nutrient export while maintaining phosphate within the optimal range of 0.01–0.02 ppm. Maintaining this balance is essential for coral vitality, coloration, and long-term reef stability. Formulated by marine scientists, NeoPhos is a clean, efficient, and controllable way to support natural filtration and nutrient recycling in advanced reef aquaria.
1. Shake well before each use.
2. Test nitrate and phosphate with accurate kits.
3. If phosphate is undetectable, dose NēoPhos to reach ~0.02 ppm.
4. Wait 24 hours and retest phosphate and nitrate.
5. If levels don’t change, add 1 ml Reef BioFuel per 25 gallons.
6. Continue daily Reef BioFuel dosing if nutrients remain unchanged.
7. If nitrate drops but phosphate does not, continue NeoPhos dosing.
8. Maintain phosphate between 0.01–0.02 ppm and nitrate around 3–5 ppm.
9. If phosphate builds up without nitrate drop, increase carbon dosing.
10. Monitor regularly and adjust dosing as needed.
